  1. Oh! How much I love the quilt behind you. It is one of my 3 favourite patterns ever! I vividly remember the Love of Quilting episode with your mom and yourself. In fact, it is still recorded on my PVR. I even bought the pattern found an old Fons & Porter magazine and the TriRec tool. I am happy to see the final result. And I always expect this quilt to show up in an upcoming edition of Quilty. Hint! Hint!
I also enjoyed the topic, specially the suggestion of spraying water in limited quantity rather than using steam from the iron.
    Great work! Thank you.

    • I love your videos! Great information! At times I would wonder why my blocks would get out of shape but after watching this video I think the steam was the culprit!
I too love the quilt behind you and would love to purchase the pattern. Could you provide that information for me? And I second that I would love to see it as a topic on Quilty!

  2. I made a scrap quilt using a half hexagon ruler for a template and used the pieces to make a braided friendship quilt. I steam press all the time but this time I didn’t luck out. I had all kinds of problems with it and my long arm quilt lady said it was probably because I steamed the seams! So, I will not be using steam in piecing anymore! Thanks for the information!

  4. I have always loved that quilt behind you on this tutorial and I have the tool now that I need to make it. I think it was in an issue of “Love of Quilting” as well as on the show. Can you tell me which ones so that I can learn to make it? Thanks!!!
