Patrick Lose’s route to quilting was through his work in the theater and costume design. A costuming class and an instructor bit him with the “fabric bug”, and the rest is history. Listen to his story!

I have never, ever been able to construct even the easiest garment but am able to at least mimic patterns found in magazines and online through my quilting. It’s nice to hear about Patrick’s life as my middle son experiences it (he is also a theater major at Michigan State University).

What a great interview. Interstingly enough, I to started in the garmet industry, than went on to custom knitting (and won a few contests I entered for design) and now, I quilt

I’ve really enjoyed hearing about Patrick’s background but I’ve also been captivated by the quilt on the wall behind him. Is there a pictures anywhere of the whole quilt. I’m guessing it uses his Mixmasters Fizz fabric for Robert Kaufman.
