This video talks about the last two underground railroad quilts called the Jacobs Latter and Tumbling Blocks quilt. The Jacobs Latter design originally meant biblical Jacob with a stairway to heaven but was changed to symbolize the underground railroad. Its a antique block which is a basic 9 patch with 4 triangle pieced squares. All you have to do is sew two inch squares together and cut it into 10 2 inch sections.
The Tumbling Blocks quilt is symbolic of slaves reaching their destination and had to unpack their boxes.
