4th of July Quilt Block with Marie Bostwick: Part 3

Quilt Out Loud | Episode 401, Part 3 | July 2012

Marie, the quilting storyteller, is also a quilter and now a published designer. She shows Jodie Path to Cobble Court, which is a quilt designed for the May/June issue of Quiltmaker magazine. Then Marie demonstrates how to make a very simple 4th of July quilt block that looks complicated once joined. Marie chooses red, white and blue block colors in honor of Independence day. Oliver, Marie’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, joins Jodie and Mark in the living room for their monthly book review and quilt show.

    • There is a learning curve to quilting. The best advice I can give is to find other quilters to quilt and share with and just keep doing it. It’s so worth climbing that learning curve!
