Sue Reich shares a very personal story with Jodie. They are a Gold Star family, the designation for families who have lost someone in war. Sue shows a quilt presented to her by the “Home of the Brave program” made by women she knows, using a Civil War era pattern based on quilts made for the “Sanitary Commission” during that struggle. Then it’s on to the monthly book reviews and a discussion of quilts from the books.

How about a door knock at Jody Davis, or Mark Lapinski…………It would be really great to see what you two do at home and where you work at home……love, the show……love, Cindy Ellinger

If you guys are looking for ideas– I’d love to see you come out west and do a West Coast Tour of sorts– from San Diego all the way north to Bellingham, Wa.
There is so much territory to cover out this way.
I would Rx a visit at Cloth and Quilts in Turlock, Ca. They have a shop front on Main St. with computerized long arm machines working away and you can watch from the side walk outside. It’s fascinating.

Hi Mark/Jodie:
I was wondering if you would show us how to add a hanging sleeve on an episode? I enjoy Quilt Out Loud! Thanks for being who you are!
