At Ingebretsen’s, a gift and food store in the heart of Minneapolis’ Nordic and Scandinavian community, Mark meets his new friend Jorunn Henrickssen who teaches him to make krumkaka, a delicate and very delicious cookie made using batter and a krumkaka baking iron. The flat cookie is removed from the iron and quickly rolled into a cone using a special funnel shaped molding tool. Jodie arrives in time to see-and taste-the finished product.
It’s Book Review time at Pennington Quilt Works. Jodie and Mark review a stack of mostly quilting books including several with a Christmas theme plus one that has nothing to do with quilting at all. Jodie has gifts for Mark. These are Atlanta treats: a bag of peach flavored cookies and a snow globe from Atlanta for Mark to add to his collection.
