Learn New Tricks with Circular Sewing Attachments

Quilt Out Loud | Episode 206 | Dec. 2010-Week 2

Christmas is in the air at Pennington Quilt Works in Pennington, New Jersey as Mark and Jodie bring the show to the shop. Mark has the perfect gift for Jodie: a dozen rubber duckie Christmas ornaments. But, there’s an added surprise. On the bottom of each duckie, Mark has written a memory from the first year of taping Quilt Out Loud! episodes. And so they go down memory lane reliving the past year’s activities as Jodie unwraps the duckies.

Intrigued by an attachment for her Baby Lock sewing machine she read about, Jodie meets Baby Lock Educator Pam Mahshie who shows her how the Circular Sewing Attachment turns the decorative stitches on the Baby Lock into perfect circles, and sparks a myriad of ideas for quilting. Using heavier threads in your bobbin, as Pam explains, opens up a while new world of possibilities, especially when coupled with fun stitches and the circular attachment.
