Mark and Jodie arrive at Cloth & Bobbin quilt shop in the town of Narberth, Pennsylvania, where modern fabrics are the featured fare. Jodie presents a Jodie Cam of her visit to the Magic Gardens in Philadelphia. The mosaic-covered buildings and garden are reminiscent of an art quilt. Mark shares pictures of the murals he found all over the city and Jodie gives him some gifts from her visit to Independence Hall.

A national movement started in California; The Modern Quilt Guild has now spread across the country. Initially internet based, these guilds are a combination of internet interaction and traditional in-person meetings and get-togethers. Meet two members of the Philly Modern Quilt Guild. They will talk more about the modern quilt and explain what makes a it modern.
