How to Make Half Square Triangles

Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting | 1700 | Episode 1713

Marianne and Mary Fons teach how to make half square triangles for friendship quilts. They show several examples of quilts made with creative triangle units that were quilted for a friendship quilt exchange. One quilt, Triangle Surprise, is featured in Love of Quilting January/February 2011. The Fons girls suggest using a design wall to lay out your ideas for everyone to see. They also use half square triangle papers to make large numbers of triangles in a short time. Bring these ideas to your quilting buddies and swap your own quilt fabric triangles to make very special friendship quilts!
