Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting | 1500 Series | Episode 1512

Guest sewing specialist Eric Drexler shows how to make some spectacular leaf quilts and how to make three different types of three-dimensional leaf quilts.  You will learn how to make gossamer leaves, how to use free motion stitches on a sewing machine to fill in the leaf, and how to make a double-sided leaf by fusing together the wrong sides of two pieces of quilt material. Use different types of stabilizer including tear-away, iron-on and water soluble. Use Sulky embroidery thread to give your appliqué a neat finished look.
