Hexagon Quilt Block with Squares & Pyramid Triangles

Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting | 1200 Series | Episode 1201

In this episode, Marianne & Liz will be looking at patchwork from a different angle. We are all used to square blocks that require 45° angles and 90° angles, but this time we are making a hexagon quilt block. Marianne & Liz will be cutting and sewing different angles using their pyramid ruler, hexagon ruler, and a basic rotary cutting ruler.

Marianne & Liz will show you how to cut hexagons from a fabric strip, how to use partial seaming to make a hexagon quilt block, and how to join blocks and pyramid triangles to make a quilt.

Spin Wheel can be found in the May/June 2008 edition of Love of Quilting.
