How to Make the Pinwheels Plus Quilt

Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting | 2000 | Episode 2006

The quilt on this program, a Quilt of Valor with a simple pattern, was made to show appreciation for a wounded service person. Marianne and Mary demonstrate how to make two half-square triangle units at once without using a patchwork foot. They also demonstrate how to get secondary designs by rotating the blocks and how to present a Quilt of Valor to a combat veteran. Pinwheels Plus was designed by Lisa Feor, made by Marianne Fons and quilted by Maralyn Grimoskas. Pinwheels Plus is featured in Love of Quilting May/June ’12.
