Longarm Quilting Freedom with Free Motion, part 3

| February 2013 | Episode 311

After years of using pantographs and studying quilting designs of all types, Mary Covey realized that most patterns are created from a few basic shapes. Once you learn those shapes and the combinations that can be made with them your free motion possibilities are endless.
Mary stitches us through these shapes: waved line, straight line, question mark, circle, and C-curve. First on paper and then on the quilt. Next she moves on to combining these shapes, which offers endless design possibilities.
Then Mary encourages quilters to venture into making those basic shapes your own  by combining them into a style that is as personal as your signature.
