In this segment, the Divide and Design theory is put into practice at the longarm quilting machine, and you know what? It works! Lisa Calle starts with the simple design on her first overlay and then adds more design layer after layer using her penciled overlays as the guide. Too much open space? Well, just Divide and Design some more!

It was hard to see on the white fabric. I would have liked to know what stitch length she was using.

Do you prefer the black fabric guests often use for samples? We try to go that route but sometimes a guest is working on an actual project.

I normally use a small stitch length, about 14.

It was also hard to see her work on the white fabric.

I sat with Lisa Calle a couple of years ago at the MQS banquet and she is just as friendly as she seems on the show. I am looking forward to classes with her. Hopefully it is at MQS in Overland Park Kansas
