In this segment, Suzanne and Jodie put the techniques of meandering magic into practice. Suzanne quilts a meandering line across the full width of the quilt. She then moves the quilt ahead and adds a second and then a third meandering line. This stabilizes the entire quilt. Then it’s back to the top to begin stitching motifs using the line as a path to follow. This gives an even density of quilting across the quilt. You’re not thinking about where you’re going but instead thinking about making motifs. Meandering magic gives quilters the courage to go from stitching pantographs to stitching freehand.
