Part 1: Join Patrick, as he shares his Christmas Log Cabin throw quilt design with his friend Jessica Jones over a cup of hot cocoa. They discuss plans for quilting it on the Gammill Vision long arm machine, using a holly motif Patrick designed specifically for this project. If you’ve ever wondered how to print oversized templates on your home printer, Patrick gives Jessica a quick and easy demo on doing just that. Get the recipe for the hot cocoa and all of the instructions for making your own Log Cabin Christmas in the Fall/Winter 2011 issue of Quilting Celebrations magazine!

Part 2: Jan Urioste, is back in the studio to help Patrick show us how to create the very simple and traditional log cabin block used to build the Log Cabin Christmas throw quilt. Using a variation of the colors in the original quilt, see how to make the quilt “sparkle” using Patrick’s Luminescence collection from Robert Kaufman Fabrics. A log cabin quilt is the perfect way to celebrate all that it means to be ” home for the holidays”.

Part 3: At the Gammill Vision long arm machine, watch Jessica Jones work her quilting magic using the holly templates Patrick designed and showed us how to print at the top of the show. Jessica also has tips for tracing the templates onto the quilt and successfully removing the marks after quilting. It’s time for some Chistmas quilting in this episode of Quilting Celebrations with Patrick Lose.
