Quilty’s favorite guest, Marianna Fons, explains why we set “on point” and how to do it. A great quilt example of quilt blocks on point is Hanami featured in Quilty Winter 2012. For more quilting tips and techniques watch more Quilty episodes at QNNtv.com or on DVD!
Hint: click on the photos to view the tools Mary and Marianne Fons use in this episode and the Hanami digital pattern!

That was a lot to cram into such a short episode, but at least now I know where to find the info. if/when I need it! Thanks.

Just heard Mary talk about this site on Craftsy Quilt Con video and had to check it out. I wish I had found this site last year when I started my journey of quilting. I had never touched a needle and thread before, let alone a sewing machine. When I bought my first sewing machine last year, I was almost in tears because I had no idea how to thread the machine and the picture didn’t make sense. Now five quilts in, I just purchased my first “quilting” machine. I am so excited to find this site because I have all these tools and haven’t tried them yet. I have the quilting bug and am ready for the adventure to continue!
