Have been watching several episodes now and I think it’s wonderful that you have this opportunity. My mother was very creative but sadly came down with MS I have only one memory of sewing with her. She owned several antique singer sewing machine (treadle) and one worked! I tried a simple 9 patch block for a doll. I couldn’t quite follow her instructions. It was a disaster, but I still have it! She passed away Jan 2010 and I never quilted her a quilt. I have now made one for my father from her clothes and it isn’t quilted (can’t quilt by hand and cry) so my mind has been made up I am going to find a Long-armer and get it machined. Love the shows and will continue to watch.
