After the fabrics have been selected and fussy cut and the base of the project has been pieced, it’s time to layout the bouquet portion of the quilted pillow. Learn why Quilters Newsletter associate editor Gigi Khalsa chose to arrange the bouquet pieces as she did. Be sure to arrange them so you finish with two 4” rows and one 2” row. Once you have the desired layout, sew the pieces into rows then sew the rows together. When quilting her project, Gigi followed the diagonals of her half-square triangles, but it can be quilted as desired. Gigi also shows how to finish the project as a quilted pillowcase.
