Jodie and Mark open the show from the Hickory Stick Bookshop in Washington Depot, Connecticut, showing what they’ve been up to recently with thread. Then they head to Litchfield to scope out the town that inspired the novels of Mark’s doorknock “victim” Marie Bostwick. Guess who they run into?


Author of ten novels including the Cobble Court series, quilt author and maker Marie Bostwick shows Mark her quilts, including one she made for charity and bought back at auction because her husband loved it, Last stop on the tour is Marie’s laptop where the books are written, including her latest, Ties That Bind.


Marie shows Jodie Path to Cobble Court, the quilt Marie designed for the May/June issue of Quiltmaker magazine and then demonstrates how to make this is a very simple block that just looks complicated once joined.

Marie chooses red, white and blue block in honor of the 4th.

Oliver, Marie’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, joins Jodie and Mark in the living room for their monthly book review and quilt show.
