This week, the Quilt Alliance (formerly the Alliance for American Quilts) is auctioning off the last of the over 100 house-shaped quilts that were entries in the Alliance’s 2012 contest, “Home Is Where the Quilt Is.” These unique art quilts are small enough to frame (15 inches width by 19.5 inches height) and they enable the Quilt Alliance to fund the important work of documenting, preserving and sharing the rich history of quilts and quilt makers.
Help us reach our goal of $13,000!
The fourth and final week of our annual auction is underway with 32 house-shaped quilts made for the “Home Is Where the Quilt Is” contest and donated by artists from all over the United States and around the world. This last auction week ends on Monday, December 10 at 9 pm Eastern and each quilt begins at $50. All proceeds support the work of the Alliance—to document, preserve and share the history of quilts and quiltmakers.
