Cotton Pickin’ Time!
This spring I started maybe eight cotton plants from seed saved from last year and placed them in a flower border, my only nod to gardening at my new place what with all the construction and unpacking that’s been going on.
Shoot! I didn’t get a good picture! This was right at first frost time. It was especially pretty at night in the moonlight. The puffiness and size of the bolls made a great counterpoint to the other flowers and foliage.
A basket full and a bouquet… pretty good crop this year. Cotton does like drought!
