Seasoned quilters love nothing better than to watch newbies discover the fun of quilting. And we are all happy to share our knowledge—that's what quilting is all about! QNN is launching a page just for new quilters. This is the place to go when one is interested in quilting, but hasn't a clue how or where to start.

What advice do you give someone who wants to start quilting? The QNN inbox is full of questions about how to begin. Our viewers are the experts. What would you tell her/him?  

• Would you suggest taking a class, watching a video, joining a guild?
• Start with a specific technique, pattern, author or book?
• What tools do you suggest?
• Do you have tips for things that stumped you until you found your own way to do them?

So, think back to when you were a beginner and to the advice, instruction, tools, etc. that helped you up the learning curve. What would you tell someone?
