The best two things I did was joining a guild and hooking up with three other beginners and be taught in a small group. I saw many wonderful things at the guild. One lady was willing to start a small group in her home of five people that wanted to learn. It was great fun, laughed a great deal, unsewed, and made a quilt top! If you seek and ask, a teacher will be glad to appear. Keep trying different teachers and styles until you make a match!
