Janet Kelley - April 2008 M.O.M.

This is my Autumn Wall Quilt

Hi my name is Jan Kelley and I live in the UK. I belong to an ever expanding Country of Quilters. My friend Kitty introduced me to quilting 8 years ago after a visit to America. One of her friends was a quilter and she caught the bug.

This is a Wall Hanging I made for Kitty

Now I am absolutely hooked too. It was the very best craft I have ever learned. My poor husband Brett is a quilting widower, as every spare minute I have, is spent at the sewing machine. I have lost count of the quilts I have made and given as presents. It’s nice to know that my memory will live on through my quilts. I’m 54 now and hope to quilt until I am ninety, God willing.

This is one I made just for me.

I must say that I feel I am in a gang of great like minded people. Like most quilters I have many works in progress.

Here are some I’m working on and some completed.

This will be a bed quilt for my new baby Grandson

My First Mariners Compass
I also made this one for Kitty. She loves the bright colours.

This is also a Double I made for myself

Cardinal Christmas Wall Hanging.

This is what I am working on at the moment. Don’t know whether this will be a Double or Single bed quilt yet. I like to make it up as I go along. That’s the Joy of it for me.
