Celebrate National Quilting Day with QCOA and QNNtv!

Yes quilting does have its own holiday! National Quilting Day is celebrated the third Saturday in March each year. The National Quilting Association started this tradition in 1991. At Quilters Club of America and QNNtv we’re continuing the tradition. How? Quilting of course!

To celebrate, Jodie is going to do just that. She is going to quilt all day and report her progress on her blog. And you are invited to join her, either by sharing the experience through reading her blog, or quilting along with her.

To make it easy to get started, Jodie has chosen a quilt from the latest issue of Easy Quilts magazine as her project. Made from delicious batiks, Tiramisu could be pieced—well, perhaps not in a day, but surely a weekend. The idea of the day is to sew, so that’s what we’ll be doing.

If you’d like to sew along with Jodie, you can order your kit for Tiramisu ahead of time and get yourself all setup to start sewing Saturday morning.

You are invited to comment on Jodie’s blog, and to post pictures on our very own Flickr group site.  We may even share some of your pictures on Jodie’s blog and in our newsletters.

Join Jodie in this once-a-year excuse to drop everything and just quilt. Happiness is National Quilting Day!
