QCA Designers Challenge #8
Have you ever dreamed of being a quilt designer? Would you delight in seeing your quilt pattern published in a national magazine? Here’s your chance!
Announcing Quilters Club of America Designers Challenge
The rules are simple!
1. Design and make a quick and easy quilted project that can be completed in a weekend
2. Take a photo of your project, and
3. Submit it using our easy-to-use online form.
That’s it!
And the fun just begins with your submission. You and your fellow members are also the judges! After project entry is closed, the Easy Quilts editorial staff will choose the semi-finalists and post these top projects on the QCA website for review. Next, QCA members only will receive a special e-mail invitation to vote for their favorite.
The winning project will be announced online and then appear in an upcoming issue of Easy Quilts magazine! The winner will receive a $200 gift certificate to ShopFonsandPorter.com, and in addition to appearing in the magazine the winning quilter will be featured in the Club newsletter, receive a designer profile at QNNtv.com, and have their pattern available for download at the Club Web site! The project will also be available as a kit, with special discounts for QCOA members.
The deadline for the eighth Designers Challenge is December 10th. You can start your project this weekend and submit your entries up to midnight on the 10th!
Rules:
• Your project can be anything quilted including quilts, clothing, bags, home decor items, doggie clothing . . . if it’s quilted it counts!
• The project must be able to be completed in a weekend. For quilts, the average quilter should be able to complete the top in two days time.
• The project must be your original design. Learn more at our Web site.
• The QCA Quilters Challenge is open to QCA members only
• Employees of New Track Media are not eligible to enter
• You may enter more than one project.
• Winning entrant must sign a contract and affidavit of eligibility giving permission for publication in Easy Quilts magazine.
• Entries must be received by Midnight December 10 CST for the eighth Designer Challenge. Entries received after this date will be entered in the next designer challenge.
Prize:
• The winning quilt will be published in the Summer 2010 issue of Easy Quilts magazine with a designer profile.
• The winning designer will receive a $200 gift certificate to our sister shop, Fons & Porter’s ShopFonsandPorter.com.
• The winning designer will be featured in the QCA newsletter, in a designer profile on QCA and QNNtv, and the pattern will be archived as a feature on the site
